I have tried installing Mac OS X 10.3.0 SDK from XCode 1.5 but installer says that this can be installed on Mac OS X 10.3 only (I have XCode 2.1 + Tiger). Finally, I have managed to install it using third party software.
Is it Ok to use this SDK? Can I use gcc 4.0 or do I have to use 3.3?
Yes, it is OK to drag the 10.3.0 SDK into your /Developer/SDKs folder. Yes, you'll have to use gcc 3.3 to compile with it.
Remember that the SDK is a ceiling, not a floor. If you just want to deploy to earlier systems, don't change your SDK; use the "Mac OS X Deployment Target" setting and set it to 10.3 or 10.2.
