Killing a compile process?

I'm seeing this line here in top:

1135 cc1objplus 81.9% 36:31:51 1 13 47 10.8M 7.33M 13.0M 150M

Is this a process which is stuck in an infinite loop? Xcode is not even open anymore :o( I quit Xcode to make sure.

I suppose that could be why my Mac was acting so slow.
