as you have compiled and installed boost I am eager to know if you managed it to enable threading support. If yes, how does this work?
I've found that boost threads work well -- you need to create a wrapper project in Xcode (I've found it useful to create a new Carbon library/framework) and add the contents of boost/libs/thread. You can also then get a universal binary out of it. I reckon this is easier to deal with than using boost's jam-based build method.
