I stand corrected. I'm damn sure I tried this though and it made no
difference... oh well!
However this didn't fix the problem. What DID fix the problem was
deleting my "Game" target, rebuilding it from scratch, clicking my
heels three times and sacrificing a small animal... in other words, it
works now.
I am wondering if some odd mojo happened when I updated the project.
Basically, the previous author had just dumped all code in the
executable target. I created the static library and dragged the game
code into it. Although it seemed to compile right and produce a valid
file, I'm wondering if that's why it was hosed.
I still don't see the need for "link order matters" though -
especially when you cannot specify a lib multiple times to get around
some issues. It might be a good idea for Apple to consider adding a
flag to the linker that turns link order off (as it is with MSVC)
