Xcode makes computer invisible on network

  • Thread-topic: Xcode makes computer invisible on network

Over the last several weeks or longer, on Leopard, I've noticed that my
development machine always becomes invisible on the network after I've been
working on a project in Xcode for a while. I have to reboot it to be able to
mount it on another machine on the network, using file sharing.

"Invisible" is probably the wrong word. It still appears in the Shared
section of a Finder window's sidebar on the other machine, but clicking it
there causes the window to get stuck forever in the "Connecting..." mode.
Running an AppleScript to mount it does not generate an error, but it
doesn't mount the volume, either, and the script has to be force quit.

Has anybody else noticed this?
