Well, you can do it - it just takes a little forethought. When you plan to move somewhere, type "Control-Space". Later on, after going somewhere else, type "Control-X Control-X" and you'll jump back (more or less, depending on whether you edited the code after making your "Mark".

This "Mark" and "Jump to Mark" are in the Xcode key equivalents, but I don't know their name offhand.
