You misunderstood what I said. All was *not* working correctly. All editor windows said "Ungrouped", but I was not able to open more than four of them. When I changed one of them to Grouped, and then changed it *back* to Ungrouped, it fixed the behavior. Xcode is responding to your setting of the Grouped/Ungrouped setting as designed and documented. That's exactly what the "Grouped" button means: "open new documents in this window, instead of a new one."
