More reaction to the yellow screen...
There's a really interesting psychological effect- making the Mini
yellow has
changed the way I perceive the yellow on sbox [his Ubuntu Linux
box]. (I go back
and forth between them a lot.) Apparently looking at a (even though
it's slightly greyish)
white screen resets -my- white balance. This is actually a -big-
help and my
heart is overflowing with gratitude. Because of the grey text it's
still
very hard to read the screen but the painful glare is gone.
Apple people: might it be reasonable, in the Accessibility prefs, to
tell Quartz to set the background of all windows to a selectable
value? And maybe text areas and buttons and other widgets too?? Or
maybe provide an API hook so a developer could make it happen...
Or let IB get into compiled data to adjust stuff?
