Hi,
I am trying to make my iPhone app (a Japanese learning drill/quiz
type) at least partially accessible to blind users. My problem is that
to do so, I need some elements to be read in English, others in
Japanese... on the same screen. Although it is possible to use the
language rotor to switch between either language, this does not seem
like a practical solution for users. Safari seems to be able to do
automatic language recognition (and reads Japanese beautifully).
I was hoping there was some way to tell the VoiceOver API which
language an element should ideally be read in. The doc makes no
mention of such an option, but it is also badly obsolete (descriptions
are for Xcode 3, not Xcode 4).
Incidentally: does anybody know of a good source where I could find
up-to-date info on implementing VoiceOver in an iOS app (using Xcode
4).
Thanks!
PS: I am new to the list and hope neither of these questions have been
asked before. I tried using the Archive search form, but it seems to
be borked at the moment (getting a server error, no matter the search
string).
