Greetings everyone,
I have a couple questions in regards to integrating one of our research accessibility tools with Mission Control under OSX 10.8:
Question 1: Is there a way to setup a NSWindow to be displayed on top of the Mission Control window?
We have implemented a cursor enhancement tool for visually impaired which works by creating a transparent borderless window which tracks the mouse movement and draws around the current mouse cursor location. We set the Window Level to NSScreenSaverWindowLevel-1; this seems to work for all windows including the Launchpad, but does not seem to work for Mission Control.
Question 2: Is there a way under OSX 10.8 (and possibly 10.6-10.7) for a AX Trusted background process to hide the mouse cursor while the mouse is over the Dock, App-picker (Cmd+Tab) or Mission Control windows?
So far we have been using CGDisplayHideCursor() in combination with CGSSetConnectionProperty which sets the "SetsCursorInBackground" property. Please advise if there is a more elegant or global way to hide the cursor so that we can display a fully customized (larger cursor, different colour, or forced different shape) cursor, which would also hide the mouse while over the Dock or Mission Control.
Thank you!
