AXEnhancedUserInterface and hanging programs

Hi everyone
We are trying to figure out why one of our products starts to hang as soon as VoiceOver is enabled. 
Have you had any issues with AXEnhancedUserInterface? 
Do you have any advice on where to look for solutions when a program hangs after VoiceOver is enabled? This also has trouble with ZoomText, so I don’t think it is a VoiceOver issue.
