Hi Bill,
I’ve started using the developer forums recently and I’ve noticed that there are different sequences of characters, apparently including “accessibility”, that will make the post not accepted. Even worse, when I experienced this problem the offending string was not reported at all so I often ended up posting my question elsewhere.
BTW, embedding a link in a post is enough for it to be moderated until… Well, no one knows
Definitely the developer forums need some attention from Apple engineers or whoever takes care of them on behalf of Apple.
Vincenzo.

I tried to post a question about accessibility on Apple's developer forums this morning, but the website consistently refused to accept the question until I took the word accessibility out of the title and the body of the post. An error message claimed my message contained illegal characters.
Has anybody else seen this? I did find that others have recently encountered the illegal character problem for questions that did not relate to accessibility, so the issue is more complex. But I was able to ask my question successfully when I removed the word accessibility but left everything else exactly as it was.
I am posting this here in the hope that an Apple accessibility engineer might see it and become motivated to contact the managers of the developer forums to look into this issue. I have filed a bug report with Apple, but I don't know how to reach the managers of the developer forums directly.
Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
