I've experienced similar behaviour with a different printer driver. In my
case it seems that a printer spool file got corrupted and had to be cleared
before things returned to normal. Norton Utilities fixed it for me. Maybe
someone else can tell you a manual way of finding and deleting invisible
items now that you can't bin 'em using Sherlock?
