Thank you for the suggestion, it certainly would work, BUT: my eventual goal
for this little project is to have all my important folders from all over
the HD backed up nightly to one location; this will help if say my Entourage
database gets corrupted during use one day - I can just substitute the saved
info and only lose one day's worth of activity.
I wanted to get this one script up and running in the Shutdown Items folder
as a sort of test, then practise writing a few more - so I'd rather not bind
a shutdown command to one of them.
