That seems a little unfair, with regard to the *current* Adobe. They have
some significant AppleScript guru/insiders on staff (now), such as Jon P.
and Andy B. (and others I don't mean to slight by not mentioning). And the
gurus are being given the chance to improve scripting in various Adobe
products.

It nonetheless takes a while, especially with a huge thing like PhotoShop
which began life before AppleScript.
