Remote Access interupt RA connect

-- Problem: an external modem will not hang up on restart.

Is there an instruction to terminate Remote Access(RA)? (Please read on.)

RA Disconnect does not work as tcp/ip is not connected. Only the modem is
connected. It automatically trys to reconnect and a manual cancel from RA
status window during an attempt to connect will hang up the modem.

I have a server which restarts itself every now and then. A restart does
not break the modem connection as it is external. I need to send it a
message to it for it to hang up and stop the call.

Is there a way to timeout the connect script and send a disconnect message
to interrupt it.

I may have to use a solution like ONE Click. Im not sure if this will work
either. I guess if I could monitor RA and when it makes it's first
connection it would click on cancel. I have no experience with this

Problem ----

My server will restart if there is a problem with one of the applications.

On restart it will not be able to access the modem as it is on and
connected.

I would like to place a script application in the Start up items
folder which sends a disconnect message to the modem.

Then when Keep it up and webstar force remote access to dial the
service provider they will not wait with a message.
