I will confess to being a newbie, right: I have a large (1.2GB) Disk
Copy 6.3.3 image I want to segment onto CD. I have been trying to use
Apple's 'segment image' script from the website but I cannot avoid an
applevent timeout error -1712 while Disk Copy calculates the checksum
of the image.
I have tried Andrew McNaughton's Segmenter 1.5.3 with Disk Copy 6.2
and it gets further but has the same error. I suspect it gets further
simply because it attempts the checksum first.
I am using a G4/450 single processor with 256MB RAM and OS9.0.4
Any suggestions as to how I can edit the script to avoid this? I
don't want to buy stuffit deluxe unless I have to.
