Go to the iDisk page, and click Homepage. You'll find instructions on a File
Sharing page for your Public folder. Click that one. Follow instructions on
naming the page and the folder (I missed that bit for a long time) and then
click the big button Publish. That does it. It will assign a url to your
page as

http://homepage.mac.com/yourUserID/

Then all anyone has to do is go there. They see any folders or subfolders of
your Public folder as items in a directory. Clicking the directory item gets
them to the subfolder. Clicking on any file name there downloads the file
via HTTP. Be careful with your filenames: the Apple server seems signally
non-Mac oriented. ALL non-basic characters come out weird and wrong (like
messages to this list). Even some regular punctuation and symbols made with
shift key without option key come out wrong. Have fun.
