Wish I knew how to set up ftp transfers from the idisk, though.

Somewhere in the rules as I initially read them was the statement that one
can't (or couldn't then) set up an FTP server under iTools.

Since one can serve most files via HTTP (and use Anarchy/Interarchy rather
than a browser to retrieve them if desired) that doesn't seem like a huge
restriction.

I wish I knew how to set up http file transfers from the idisk, though.

If I'm not mistaken, and if I understand what you want to do...

The URL to your mac.com download folder might look something like

You would add the name of FileToDownload.sit to the above, resulting in

As long as FileToDownload.sit is actually in your downloads folder, everything should proceed as expected.

on error
try
display dialog "Don't call me! The advice was free!" buttons ("Darn It Rob!") default button 1
end try
