Connecting to AppleShare IP servers

  • Subject: Connecting to AppleShare IP servers

Sorry if this is a simple question, but I cannot make the following work:

I am trying to use AppleScript to connect to an AppleShare IP server. The
AppleShare Dictionary shows that this should be possible with the
following commands:

connect
[to string] -- the name or IP of the server
[user string] -- the username to use with connection
[with password anything] -- password of given user

but no matter how I format this set of commands I always get an error
returned from Mac OS Server Admin which says the connection cannot
continue (well other similar messages, but the important point is that the
connection is never made).

Has anyone got any suggestions about how to make a successful connection
to an AppleShare IP server?

TIA
