Thanks for all the suggestions about using
"afp://username:email@hiddenss/volume" to connect to the ASIP server,
but unfortunately I did not make myself clear as to what I wanted to do.
I'm trying to connect using Mac OS Admin to import new users to the
server. It's Mac OS Admin's Dictionary that lists the following commands:
connect
[to string] -- the name or IP of the server
[user string] -- the username to use with connection
[with password anything] -- password of given user
and it's Mac OS Admin that returns the errors.
I'm trying to automate the process of getting new users imported to the
server. I've created scripts which export XML - all working correctly, but
when I try to get the resulting text file to be imported I cannot get past
the connect stage. I haven't even been able to see if I can actually
import users with AppleScript because I cannot make a successful
connection.
It all works as expected when doing it by hand, but I'm trying to set up a
web site that puts entered data into a Filemaker database, which then
exports XML, and finally to import to ASIP using Mac OS Admin. The first
two parts of this process work correctly, but it's the last bit which I
cannot get to work yet.
TIA
