I don't recall that discussion. But I've generated larger lists than
4050 items by conversion, so I don't think this is a valid limit.

I also don't recall any mention of 4050 limitations. The last posting in the earlier thread on this subject was:

"My conclusion is this: if you're recursing small folders, then you'll find as small as a 2x or 3x difference between the fastest script and the best osax for this purpose (Tanaka), and since it's so quick anyway, it's best to stick with a script. If you anticipate the need to recurse large folders or volumes, then you can find a 30x or more difference in speed, and it makes sense to go with the osax."
