QXP print to file (to create a PDF)

I have a script that saves desired pages from quark into PS. Those are then
distilled to create a PDF file. Everything works OK, except for "paper
size". When I get the "paper size list", I do get all available standard
sizes, except "custom". When I type it in the script, it gives me an error
message.
Is there a way to get a PS file out of QXP cropped to the dimensions of the
document? Or am I supposed to trim the excess off in Acrobat everytime the
size is different from the standard paper sizes?
