I don't know about scriptability but I haven't seen a single
InDesign document submitted at this point. Unless you're
a document originator, I would'nt waste my time.
Even if you are a document originator, the service provider
support will be weak. Everyone uses Quark. If you plan
on having the documents printed or output by others. You
want to easily find others who really know your programs
and not just "support" them with a command "p".
The publishing industry is not embracing this application
at this point anyway. We print probably 600 or more
monthly's in addition to quarterly's catalogs etc. These are
pubs coming in from all over the nation. Not one publisher
interested in In-Design that I work with. A few questions
but no real interest.
Also, if you think Quark is bad about how they just trample
over the features and functionality when they upgrade then
consider Adobe's record when it comes to scripting.
