I've recently noticed that 'info for' returns the wrong coordinates for CDs
mounted on my desktop, and the coordinates given do not change when an icon
is moved. (Getting 'position of' returns the correct info.)
More curiously, the position given for audio CDs changes - seemingly at
random - after each restart. The coordinates given for 'Secret Treaties' by
the Blue Oyster Cult are currently (-19072, 141). If I pop 'One World' by
John Martyn in the other CD drive, I get the same coordinates for that too.
Then I restart...
Now the position of both CDs is apparently (23616, 162). Same result if I
replace those two CDs with 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman' by Underworld, and 'Pink
Flag' by Wire.
What's going on? (With the weird icon position info, that is, not with my CD
collection).
