I can't verify. I've scripted FMP only minimally. I seem to recall that the
data will go in in whatever order you currently have set in the Define
Fields dialog box for the database. I have no idea HOW you can set that
order from a script. But you might want to try setting the order for the
database manually and then experimenting with the script that creates a new
record to see if it follows that field order. If I'm correct, then a simple
convention would be to always leave the fields sorted in alphabetic order;
that way, you'd always know how to order them in the script to create a new
record.
