Ah - this could be pertinent. So far, I'm using the 30-day trial version of
FMP5, but its limitations don't appear to affect scripting until you hit the
50-record limit.

I sure wish that were the case with FMP5. Without 'activate', it immediately
retreats to the background again, but not without flashing to the front
first. Most annoying. This is with calling a 'do script (FileMaker script
"Something")', which in turn has a few subscripts (not written by me).
Perhaps one of the internal FMP commands is forcing it to the front. I will
experiment with simpler actions to see what happens.
