Hi, Ricardo:

OS 9.1 has a Multiple Users feature that allows you to lock the screen after
so many minutes have passed. If you don't have OS 9.1, you can download PGP,
which has a screen lock utility built in:

Either one will work better than an AppleScript.

As for rebuilding your desktop on startup, I think your best bet is to find
a scriptable maintenance utility.
