Desktop Printer Manager is busted, has been since 8.5. I think this
is discussed in a "help center' module. You can work around this
by setting the PPD After you create the DTP with
...
set the PPD file of the default printer to the whatever_PPD_file
...
You also cannot create a Desktop printer that 'targets' another application.
As desktop printers go away in OS X, I doubt this will ever be fixed.
