I recently updated to AppleScript 1.6 and have noticed a few things don't

set x to y as short

*Script objects no longer work. If I load a compiled script into my main
script with the load script command, then try to run that script, I get an
error regarding parameters.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

Yes. I just posted a bug report, which I listed as a problem with the handle CGI request command from the Standard Additions (although the problem is in the 1.6 extension, not the scripting addition.

My CGIs do have loaded script objects, but the error occurred even with scripts with no script objects, so I think mine is a separate problem.

Chris Nebel, please tell us these issues will be addressed/fixed before Classic hits the end of its development life. And tell us these same problems don't exist in Mac OSX Applescript 1.6.
