The Facespan User's Guide is very useful. I can't think of another reference
that will help as much.
Perhaps you just need a little help starting out, then the methodology might
become clearer. See if this helps...
Once you have put an object ( like a button ) in your UI, simply activate it
with the object mover tool ( looks like the bullseye or target in the toolbar
), then press the script icon in the Information window. An editable script
window will open and you may copy a working script into this window and simply
add the appropriate handler. Usually, this means adding "on hilited theObj" (
theObj being your button ) at the top of the script and "end hilited" at the
bottom of your script. Click on the check mark to debug the script. If all goes
well, you have just attached that script to the button in your UI. Go back to
the main toolbar and click on the arrow tool. Now click on the button in your
UI and the script attached to the button will run.
Now, of course, this greatly simplifies Facespan but you will be surprised at
how far this will take you.
Keep at it. The User's Guide will start to make more sense.
