  • Subject: off subject...but help is needed....

I just recently bought a 450 mHz dual processor G4. ALthough the
ethernet port functions for file sharing and file transfer with
Timbuktu, I am unable to connect to the internet via cable modem....The
cable modem connects to the uplink port on an 8 port NetGear unmanaged
10BT hub. The 2 other machines on the network connect to the net just
fine. I have connected the cable directly from the modem to the
ethernet port as well as the connection to the hub...no results.

Apple is pointing fingers at the ISP. The ISP is pointing fingers at
the machine. The reseller and I are in the middle.

Does anyonehave any experience with this problem?

Thanks

mark ritter
