Thank you Greg, Sander, Arthur, and Christopher. Without
your input, I would have been completely stuck.
The matter seems to be complicated than I first imagined.
I was also not aware of the different pref file formats (
literal against pure data).
Judging from your information, I probably shouldn't depend
on the read/write commands, as I won't have much control
over the AS version this script will run on. I'll look
into the "load script" and "run script" approach.
