upload via ftp

hello!

new to the list so here goes....

i've managed to install apache, MySQL, an ftp server and php4 on a pc. we
are using this for php development. this in turn is connected via TCP/IP
onto our ethernet network and my mac can 'see' the pc via fetch and web
browsers.

i am using bbedit rather than dreamweaver to run this site and i need to
constantly upload the php, to test it on the 'server'. all my php and html
files are held in one folder on the desktop.

what i need is a folder action that reacts when ever a file is saved into a
specific folder ie my php development folder. i need it to take that file
and upload it via ftp into a designated file on the webserver. this means
that every time i want to test something, i just hit save in bbedit and
switch to my browser and hit refresh. wicked!

can this be done? i've looked about and tried it but no joy.

any help will be appreciated,

regards,

jake
