I've been using the "backup" command from the Satimage osax for a while now
to back up my mail data folder and some other folders (Documents folder for
instance), it's very fast compared to Finder copies, however my only
complaint about it is for large copies (my mail data folder usually weighs
in at about 100 mb) the whole machine locks up for the time of the copy,
this is whether I run the script within Smile, as an application or from the
OSA menu. Smaller copies happen so fast this isn't noticeable but with no UI
feedback you have to take into account not being able click or move around
for a short time during large copies. Just thought I'd mention that
Emmanuel. I still love using it. Very easy, very fast.
