leaving akua out of the equation for a minute, isn't the problem the fact
that your file most probably doesn't have a resource fork to begin with?
I've been playing with programmer's tool and a resource osax for a bit; I
can add a "vers" resource to a file pretty easy, if the file already has
a resource fork (doesn't matter if it's empty). But if the file has no
resource fork, I have found no method of adding a resource fork to it
with AS. The only method is to open the file in resedit, which asks me to
add a resfork, then I say yes, close file, and I can add a vers resource.

So the question: How does one add a resource fork to a file by AS?

cheers
