I have a script, where the ONLY way of getting it to run without errors, beeps, warnings etc, when activated via the assigned key command, was to save the script as an applet, and set OSA Menu to use Finder to run the Script! Since then, I always run my scripts this way, just to be safe. You may try to do the same.

I never understood why I had to do these things, but it's the way I had to do. Obviously, there is some difference in execution between activating the script via OSA Menu and doing it with a key command. Strange...
