The time scale is adjustable and you can set it to the SMPTE correlate by
determineing the frames per second.
Then set the rate of QT to match. Usually the rate of SMTPE is 30 fps
(or is that 32? I keep getting confused with the Cine rate)
Setting the QT rate is easy:
tell application "QuickTime Player" to open image sequence fileref frames
per second 30
(no line wrap)
