If you know the name of the iDisk that will be mounted (which I assume you
would), then you can use "list disks" from the Standard Additions. It should
list all of the mounted volumes, and then you could see if the volume
(iDisk) you're looking for is in the list that is returned. That's your
test.
I think you'd have to tell the Finder to "put away" or "eject" whichever
disk you want to dismount, rather than "dismount." I don't see a verb for
that. The Finder dictionary indicates that "eject" will eject any ejectable
disks. (I just wanted to use the word "eject" a lot in that sentence.)
I've not had much success using the AFP URL syntax listed below (OS 9.0,
9.04, and 9.1); instead, I use the parameters for the "mount volume" command
in Standard Additions to send the desired volume, username, and password. I
do use the AFP URL to get to the server itself (i.e.
"afp://server.domain.com/") -- in fact, that's what forces an IP connection,
in my experience -- but I put the volume elsewhere in the command, not the
URL.

works fine. I assume a similar dismount command.
