I'm working on a project that uses an Applescript helper app which
recognizes a certain custom MIME type that I configured through my
browser settings. Everything works fine, when I click on my link in
the web page the helper app gets called and the script runs as
expected. However the catch is if I create a new applet on my
computer then that new applet becomes the helper app!?!
This is strange since in my browser setting I specify the helper app
by targeting it through "post-process with application" in IE and
through "handled by" in Netscape. It seems in both Netscape and IE it
doesn't matter what you specify as the helper app. The helper app
will always be the latest new complied Applescript applet.
Has anybody experience this phenomenon before?
