Hi,
Thanks for the responses to my plight. I should have pointed out that
the Mac is running 8.6. I have tried to just test a one line open for
access. With a reboot, trashing of AppleScript Prefs, etc., it simply
won't work. It seems to me that basic AppleScript cannot handle the
fact that the Mac itself is on one zone and all the servers another.
This may be something to do with the way the zones have been setup by
our systems people regarding privileges, etc. As I said previously,
using Tanaka's OSAX, I can create a file. Thanks for the help so far.
If I figure it out, I will let you all know the solution.
