To avoid HUGE headaches just use the version of AS that works,
consistently, for you and your clients.
I'm using, and recommend, version 1.4 with OS 9.1.
I've used this set up for (I believe) most of this year.
NO PROBLEMS!
I'll upgrade to OS X when it reaches 10.5 (or maybe 11.1).
