Yes - and I guess Appleworks but I don't use it so don't know what its AS
implementation is like

Not networkable at present and requires a front end to be built. If you want
to delve into RealBasic it can be a very powerful solution I believe

If it was me, I'd be looking at MySQL and PHP

Or Omnis Studio--anyone out there have any experience with that?
Much higher learning curve than FMP (and even 4D - which is very powerful
but a pain to learn)
And as for Panorama (and this is personal opinion only) - I reckon it looks
about 20 years old - it has a pretty ugly interface and is a bit fiddly to
use as far as layout is concerned. If you want a 'stock' type layout it's
probably OK.
FWIW, I own Panorama, FMP, 4D and Omnis. I use FMP for most small things
(as that's what I'm most familiar with) and I'm now learning MySQL and PHP
because it's likely the web is where everything is going to end up and MySQL
and PHP give a good, cheap intro into the real power world. I wouldn't even
consider FMP for serious web work.
