You're lumping me in with that group of bums?
I'm sorry. Just kidding, Mark. Hahahaha!
Actually all of those guys have had some experience with lower level
(toolbox) programming and they've all written system-level code and
all but Jon have released script editors. Like you I'm feeling my
way in the dark trying to figure out some of this stuff too.
When I have an answer it's hard for me not to reply. As far as the
lannguage goes I try to keep it clean but cannot help if it sometimes
sounds like I compose my posts with a quill. I do.
The only real attachable application I've scripted is FaceSpan.
I'm tinkering with a script now whose parent is Tex-Edit Plus and
has a script object (ResultObj) that implements a result window to
make scratchpad scripting in Tex-Edit Plus easier to do. I started
it because I found myself switching back and forth between Script
Editor and Tex-Edit Plus while working on a text processing script.
Since it has a script menu and already had an "Execute Selected
Script" it seemed like a natural extension. Don't think Tex-Edit
is attachable though.
