Newbie Question

  • Subject: Newbie Question

I would appreciate some help, please.

I am definitely the non-technical part of a small group involved in
designing a couple of perl/cgi control panels for a shopping cart which will
allow users to update information on the net. I am the only Mac user
amongst them and have been the one to cause most problems!

Basically, when I input information into the form areas on the script, I end
up with a completely corrupted script - and the "shop" stops working, html
pages appear all over the site and it becomes a real mess.

I realise that this probably isn't the correct mail list - however, if you
could let me know where to ask the question or if you can point me in the
right direction, I'd be grateful.

There is a disabled online demo - the links can be found at
http://www.egreyl.com/forums/index.cgi - at the top of the page. The form
action for the input would appear to be wrap="virtual" but .... I generate
loads of line breaks<br> when I complete my edit ........

If you are able to help, then I'll give you the details of where I am
testing the information!

Margaret
(I amn't going to buy a pC unless I absolutely have to!)
