You're right!!!
tell application "Application Switcher"
set visible of palette to true
set button ordering of palette to launch order
end tell
does the job nicely.
I haven't looked at the app switcher before (I've found no use for the
tearoff menu; doesn't suit my style - long live ApplWindows!, still works
under 9.1) but it's got some rilly useful stuff.
