...a wasted effort, though nice.

IME, simply junking anything which doesn't have your name in the To: or Cc:
fields (once you've allowed through stuff like, for example, things from
the Applescript list) kills 95% of spam.

Also, few spammers use the same address twice.

The other 5% you can delete, amused that they really believe anyone
believes it.

A rare example where scripting really doesn't make life simpler.
