Because there are other, higher priorities eating my time. Because this is a
problem that affects a small percentage of the postings of this list, but
this list is a small part of the overall system it's one. It's just not a
big problem -- except to some people here.
It is a much higher priority to get the archives improved and the search
engine running, and I haven't had time for those, either. But those two
items will affect a lot more people in significant ways, so they'll be done
first.

Be my guest. I'll just tell him all the other things that ARE getting done
because they have to be done first.
I'm sorry this bothers you. But I'm involved in a bunch of projects, and I
only stretch so far. And there are things that I have to make sure get done
because they affect much larger audiences in less cosmetic ways.
I'm sorry this stuff takes time. But it does. And this isn't the only
system, or issue, I have to deal with.
