I wanted to thank you for taking the time to help.

I can see why memory leaks are generally not a concern; I wasn't concerned until recently. But when I started working out a stay-open framework and experienced problems... it was a bit of a shock to realise that some of my previous scripting habits were unstable in such a way. In any case, it's something to learn from.

Sigh... just when I thought that I was getting somewhere.
