Stupid question

I hope this isn't a too simplistic a question, but I've very new to AppleScript. I've modified the Synchronize folders script that came with my laptop by removing the call for dialogue boxes, and setting those variables to a path directly in the script. I was hoping to get a script I could throw in my startup items that will automatically sync a folder on my desktop and lap top when ever I start up on AppleTalk. (I've already put the on error return to make it just end when I start up, but am not networked) I works great, for about three times, then I get the following message: Because *OX//* original item cannot be found. Does anybody have any idea what that is and how I might work around it? The one book I have and what I've found on the internet don't describe that exact error, so I can't even figure out what it is.

Thanks in advance, and again, I apologize if this is a newbie question.
